New Contest Open for Submission!
We all have them laying around, those single socks without a match. That pesky sock monster that ate some. Anyone I know, they keep that stray in hopes the other will turn up, but they never do! So lets do something with those strays!
Sock creatures! They can be cute or ugly or just plain silly looking. They don’t have to be puppets, but they can be if you’d like though. Stuff ‘em, stitch ‘em, give ‘em eyes and a mouth - whatever. You can use more than one sock and sew them together any way you’d like to create your creature. The main part of the creature needs to be made of sock(s). White, colored, striped, any socks, big or small. Other materials may be used to give your creature personality - think buttons, fuzzy hair, etc. Just be sure to keep the majority of it sock!
Food, we need it to survive. Some of us live to eat, others eat to live, but we all eat food. Steaks, cakes, candy, leafy greens, juicy fruits…
This month lets get out our clay! It’s time to make some fake foods! You may make any type of food you’d like (something that is edible, if it were real). Meats, pies, vegetables, tarts, candies, popsicles, soup, etc etc etc. Your clay food can be as realistic or as cartoon-like as you wish - as long as it looks like food. You can do just one item (think a banana or a popsicle), or items that go together (like a tray of crackers and cheese).
